THE FREELON GROUP CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY

The Freelon Group Architects is celebrating its 15th anniversary. The firm was founded by Philip G. Freelon, FAIA (Fellow, American Institute of Architects) in 1990.

 

The firm has grown from three employees in 1990 to 50 employees today. Notable projects include the Parking Structure at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco, California.

 

Recent recognition for design excellence includes AIA Maryland's top design award, Public Building of the Year, and a Metal Architecture Design Award in the Interiors Category, both for the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, and an AIA North Carolina Design Award for the James C. Renick School of Education at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro. In all, the firm has received 15 AIA design awards since 1999.

 

The Freelon Group is an award-winning architecture firm providing design services for public as well as private sector clients.
