FREELON RECEIVES TWO AIA SOUTH ATLANTIC REGION AWARDS

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC -- The Freelon Group Architects has been honored with two Merit awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) South Atlantic Region. The firm received a Merit Award for the The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) located in San Francisco, CA and a Merit Award for The Freelon Group Office Upfit located in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The awards were presented during the AIA South Atlantic Regional Conference, held October 4-7, 2006 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Twenty-three projects were selected for recognition from 238 entries submitted by AIA South Atlantic Region members. The South Atlantic Region includes North and South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
