Anna Marich, Assoc. AIA receives AIA Triangle 2007 Presidential Award

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC –– Anna Marich, an Associate with The Freelon Group, was honored with a Presidential Award at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Triangle Section’s 2007 annual meeting.  Ten volunteers were recognized for providing exceptional services to AIA Triangle.  The meeting was held on October 17th at the French Family Science Center at Duke University. 

Ms. Marich received the Triangle AIA Award for Graphics exemplifying excellence in design.  For more than six years, Ms. Marich worked through the entire process of reviewing the scope, features, purpose, and functionality of AIA Triangle’s marketing collateral, providing the professional association with print material that represents the design community.  The organization’s graphics must reflect to the membership and the community the strong nature of good design.  Ms. Marich’s dedication and commitment to excellence in design is reflected in all AIA Triangle materials.  President Pearce expressed appreciation to Anna for her continuing efforts to improve and advance the graphic image of AIA Triangle.

Ms. Marich is responsible for the design and coordination of all architectural and marketing graphic materials for The Freelon Group.  She joined the firm in 2002.  She holds Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture degrees from North Carolina State University. 

The Freelon Group is a 53-person, award-winning architectural firm founded by Philip G. Freelon, FAIA (Fellow, American Institute of Architects) in 1990.  The firm’s design portfolio centers on Higher Education, Science/Technology and Museum and Cultural Center projects.
