Freelon Receives National Marketing Communications Award - Best in Show

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC –– The Freelon Group Architects received a 2008 Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Marketing Communications Awards (MCA). The prestigious awards recognize excellence in marketing communications by professional services firms in the design and building industry. Entries are evaluated by distinguished and impartial jurors who are industry and media leaders, design and graphics professionals, and clients.

Reilly Communications and The Freelon Group received 1st Place for Media Relations Campaign. This focused on how our media campaign helped us achieve national recognition and projects. The team was also honored with the “Best of Show” Award selected by industry media and association leaders. Mike Reilly of Reilly Communications and Lew Myers, Director Business Development at The Freelon Group accepted the award.

A total of 350 entries were submitted by 206 firms and were evaluated by a distinguished panel of 80 jurors from around the United States. The awards were announced at the 2008 SMPS/PSMA conference held in Denver, Colorado on August 7, 2008.

The Freelon Group is a 60-person, award-winning architectural firm founded by Philip G. Freelon, FAIA (Fellow, American Institute of Architects) in 1990. The firm’s design portfolio centers on Higher Education, Science/Technology and Museum and Cultural Center projects.
